The Importance of Using a Golf Instructor

By Golf Instructor Long Island

With the improvement in technology it is now possible to learn from golf instruction videos online. However, while these may be a good way to supplement in person golf lessons, the importance of using a golf instructor should never be underestimated. The question is, what are the benefits of using a golf coach?

Arguably the main benefit of hiring a golf instructor is the one-on-one aspect of the teaching. There is nothing wrong with watching videos online or participating in a group golf lesson but they are no substitute for the personal touch. By using a golf coach all of the attention is on you. That means your stance, swing, grip, head position, ball position are all being analyzed. In a group lesson or online video this never happens.

Does the golf instructor you are going to employ have a track record of taking players to where you would like to go? In addition, does the golf coach have plenty of experience and references of previous clients? Every golf instructor took his/her first lesson at some stage in their career and they understand the process of learning.

Finally, once you have chosen a golf instructor try and stick with them. There may be a few bumps in the road which is often the case in a teacher/student relationship. Just try and remember you are both aiming for the same goal, which is to see your game improve
